In this project we designed an octagonal tower extension to a 19th town center building in Dalarna. The challenge was to design a tower that blended into the 19 central style and looked as if it had always been there. The tower became octagonal and had the same bright red color and window layout as the original house. The tower is open to the roof and contained the house's library. A large custom-made bookcase with built-in stairs to reach the higher levels. Construction starts in autumn 2024

It has a diffusion open construction with environmentally friendly linen insulation in the wall and wood fiber insulation in the ceiling. The roof construction is reinforced with metal bars that take the vertical forces.
